In our experience, most deer repellents do not work for long enough to be useful.  However, in some circumstances they can be used as a short term measure to protect a small area while more permanent measures such as a cull or deer fencing are organised.  

In our opinion, for small areas the only effective and approved chemical repellant is Agraprotect.   This has been shown to have some effectiveness against winter browsing by rabbits as well as deer, but can only be used during the dormant season as it is phytotoxic.  As with all chemical repellants, it needs to be reapplied regularly to protect new growth.

We would be happy to provide free advice concerning your Deer Management Requirements.  In most cases, a deer cull is the the most effective way forward.  If this is necessary, this can be done free of charge.
