Southern Counties Deer Management

Call us now for a Free Deer Survey and Advice concerning deer resistant plants.

Some of our clients have got in touch with us recently to advise that indeed some of the species idenified below have been eaten by deer.  Deer proofing your garden is therefore not so much about planting deer resistant plants, and more about removing the deer or keeping the deer away.  Deer Repellants don't really work and the best course of action therefore tend to be permanent deer fencing or control through a cull.

We can provide free advice on all deer related matters.  In most cases, a cull or installation of a fence is the the most effective way forward.

Unfortunately, deer will eat almost any plant if they are hungry enough.  The solution is therefore to try to ensure that there are easier things for the deer to eat.  Below is a list of plants which are less attractive to deer which should provide a useful starting point.  However, if deer numbers are significant, damage will only ever be effectively controlled with a cull or deer fencing.  In most circumstances we can provide a Deer Cull service free of charge if required.
